Background and Experience
Michael was born in Kaysville, Utah, and graduated from the University of Utah in 1984 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and another one in Political Science. He continued graduate studies at the University of Utah and received his Juris Doctor from the S. J. Quinney College of Law in 1987. Michael has practiced law for over 30 years and is a member of the Utah State Bar, the American Bar Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and has been a the director of the Southern Utah Bar Association. Michael has extensive experience in personal injury matters, criminal defense, historic rights of way, and the representation of minors and vulnerable persons as a guardian, and is one of the most well-known family law attorneys in Southern Utah. Michael is enthusiastic about applying his extensive knowledge and experience with family law to devote more time in his practice to accommodate for the growing need for mediators in the area.
When Michael is not litigating or mediation conflicts, he is usually enjoying the beautiful outdoors. Hiking, boating, motorcycles and travel are top on his list of things to do with family and friends.
